Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen secretary general Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari has demanded the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to clarify its position why Pakistan voted in favour of Saudi-led military aggression on innocent people of Yemen.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad he expressed surprise and displeasure, saying Pakistanis were saddened because the unjustifiable support to the foreign aggression on Yemen has weakened Pakistan’s position on Kashmir issue.
Allama Raja Nasir demanded the government to call back retired army chief general Raheel Sharif from Kingdom of Saudi Arabia where he is serving the Saudi monarchy who is killing innocent people of Yemen. He said his assignment was illegal and permission given to him also had no legal validity because it was not got by the concerned constitutional/legal authority.
He said that Raheel Sharif’s services for Saudi monarchy and Pakistan’s vote in support of Saudi aggressors at the international body, put Pakistan’s claim of impartiality/ neutrality on Yemen issue under doubt. He said these actions tarnished Pakistan’s image and now the world people would not see any credible role of Pakistan for establishment of peace anywhere in the region or the world.
He said that Saudi war crimes must be investigated and Saudi monarchy must be held accountable for its unjustifiable unilateral war on people of Yemen. He said that even children, women and elderly Yemenis were being massacred or denied food and access to health facilities. He said Saudi-led military coalition has perpetrated crimes against humanity in Yemen Zionist Israel and Indian forces who have been respectively killing Palestinians and Muslims in occupied Palestine and Kashmir.
