Turkish President hosts Iranian FM in Ankara for talks on Syria

Turkish President on Wednesday met the Iranian Foreign Minister in the capital Ankara.
AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Turkish President on Wednesday met the Iranian Foreign Minister in the capital Ankara.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Mohammad Javad Zarif, talked about bilateral issues and Syria.
Turkey and Iran, along with Russia, are guarantor countries of a cease-fire in Syria in the Astana peace process.
Meanwhile, private talks were also held between Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif and his Turkish counterpart, Mevlüt Çavusoglu in Ankara.
Zarif left Damascus for Turkey on Tuesday night. On Tuesday, Zarif visited Damascus, and met with Syrian President Bashar Assad and other top Syrian officials. The top diplomat's one-day visit comes upon an official invitation from Assad
Zarif's visit comes a week before the 12th Astana talks, which will be held in the Kazakh capital of Astana on 25-26 April.
