GB YOUTH ALLIANCE HEAD SHAIKH HASSAN JOHARI ARRESTED FOR RIGHTS STRUGGLE

The Skardu Police have arrested renowned scholar and GB Youth Alliance head Shaikh Hassan Johari who offered himself for arrest after learnt that police was conducting raids to nab him for his speech at the mourning congregation on martyrdom anniversary of Allama Agha Syed Ziauddin Rizvi.
Shaikh Hassan Johari is a symbol of struggle aimed at attaining legitimate rights of Gilgit-Baltistan. Biased police and the PML-N government have implicated him in a false case that he incited people against state and used inappropriate words against the administration.
Shaikh Johari offered himself for arrest at Yadgar-e-Shohda Skardu after police conducted raids in various parts to nab him. He was shifted to District Jail.
It is relevant to add here that people of Gilgit-Baltistan have been struggling to seek legitimate rights and Constitutional status and in fact the ‘state’ doesn’t even exists for them since the ‘state’ don’t recognize Gilgit-Baltistan as province or as Azad Kashmir like territory.
The people of Gilgit-Baltistan turn down ludicrous charges which were framed against Shaikh Hassan Johari.
