Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen secretary general Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari has opposed sending Pakistani troops to Saudi Arabia saying that Pakistan government should not bog the country down into that quagmire.
“Kingdom of Saudi Arabia doesn’t need military cooperation for defence of sacred shrines of Islam but the monarchy seeks cooperation in its unilateral war on defenceless innocent people of Yemen,” he said, addressing a press conference in Islamabad.
He said that Pakistan should not be made part of Saudi wars because proxy wars have always harmed Pakistan and Pakistani nation. He said it was against the interest of Pakistan to become party in war on Yemen. He advised that Pakistan should mediate to end Saudi war on Yemen.
MWM Chief said that Pakistan government should pay attention to failures of its flawed foreign policy due to which US administration was defaming it on the issue of terrorism and even European countries began demanding ‘do more’ while the entire Western bloc was bent upon placing Pakistan on terror watch list for financing of terrorists.
He said it was high time for Pakistan government to part ways with the US administration because the latter always stabbed in the back of those Muslim countries who had joined her alliances.
