Syria's President Bashar Al-Assad Wednesday offered condolences to Iranian nation and government over the death of people in recent floods across the country.
AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Syria's President Bashar Al-Assad Wednesday offered condolences to Iranian nation and government over the death of people in recent floods across the country.
In the message a copy of which was sent to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), the Syrian president expressed sadness over the recent disaster in a number of Iranian provinces after flash rains.
In the message addressing Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, Assad also offered condolences on behalf of Syrian people, and wished the victims peace, and their families patience.
He also expressed hope that the injured people would recover soon.
At least 19 people were killed in the floods over the past week. A greater number of people were injured or displaced.
Rouhani arrived in the northern Golestan Province a few minutes ago to follow the process of rescue and relief. He vowed at cabinet meeting that a committee would be established to probe the causes of disaster in order to prevent the similar incidents in the future.
