Iraqi security forces announced today the death of six members of the ISIS and the arrest of another 18 during operations against the terrorist group in the country.
AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Iraqi security forces announced today the death of six members of the ISIS and the arrest of another 18 during operations against the terrorist group in the country.
Yahya Rasool, spokesman for the Joint Operations Command of the Army, told the press that the military killed four extremists, including three suicide bombers, in Samarra city, in the northern governorate of Saladin.
Rasool explained that another was captured in the vicinity of that town.
He noted that the Federal Police killed two ISIS terrorists and arrested 10 more in the neighboring province of Kirkuk.
Meanwhile, another eight were arrested in the northern city of Mosul, one of the main ISIS strongholds since its capture in 2014 until its release in July last year.
The detainees were wanted on charges of terrorism, said General Saad Maan, a spokesman for the Ministry of the Interior.
